PU footwear colors
PU Footwear Colors for Soles, Chappals and Shoe Uppers
Colorants, release agents, in-mould coatings and lacquers for PU footwear, developed together so the sole colour, the release and the finish all work as one system.

Colour that suits footwear production
PU footwear colors are pigment dispersions made for sole and shoe systems. They are metered into the polyol side of the sole system so the colour runs right through the sole. Footwear brands change colours with each season, so the same colorant has to give a bright, even shade, shot after shot, across a long production run.
Chemie Products has supplied the footwear industry with PU colorants for more than two decades, and we know how a sole line behaves. For footwear we supply colorant in 5 kg, 10 kg, 25 kg, 35 kg and 50 kg cans, so a small trial order and a full production order are both practical.
Release agents and finishes that work with the colour
A good sole colour can be spoiled by the wrong release agent or finish. If the release agent leaves a film that paint will not grip, the sole fails at the finishing stage. That is why we develop footwear colour, release and finish together.
- Water-based release agents for PU chappals.
- Paintable water-based release agents for shoes and soles.
- Release agents compatible with in-mould coatings.
- Solvent-based release agents for all PU footwear.
- In-mould coatings and PU lacquers that can be customised for gloss level, abrasion resistance and UV properties.
From sample to production
We start from your approved sample or your seasonal colour reference. We develop the shade, send a sample for approval, and keep the approved standard so the next order matches the first. The dosing level depends on the shade and the sole system, and we confirm it on your own machine instead of quoting one figure for every colour.
Our colorants are REACH and RoHS compliant, which matters if you supply international brands with restricted-substance requirements. Share your brand standard with us and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot meet.
Spray equipment and support
Applying release agent evenly is as important as choosing it. We supply spray guns and pressure pots for release agent and in-mould coating, with spares and technical support. Our troubleshooting guides cover the faults footwear plants meet most often, including parts that stick or tear at demould, paint that will not adhere to a moulded sole, and in-mould coating that peels or cracks when the sole flexes.
Orders are made at our plants near Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and supported from our offices in Gurugram and Kerala.
What to send us to start a footwear trial
To quote and sample quickly, we need a few details: the sole or upper you make, the PU system and machine, the colour reference, and what happens to the sole after moulding, for example painting, printing or bonding. Tell us too about any brand standard on restricted substances.
With that, we recommend a colorant, a release agent and, where needed, an in-mould coating or lacquer to trial together, so that you test one matched system instead of three separate products.
